Product Feature
High-Temperature Resistance and Anti-Seizing: The Dacromet coating effectively prevents cold welding or high-temperature seizing between threads below 300℃. The effect is even better when combined with copper-based or nickel-based anti-seizing agents, making them suitable for turbochargers and exhaust systems.
Uniform corrosion protection at both ends: The dip-coating process ensures a consistent coating on the screw-in end, the fastening end, and the intermediate smooth shank, avoiding the problems of over-plating at the thread crest and exposed iron at the thread root caused by the tip effect during electroplating.
No risk of hydrogen embrittlement: If double-ended bolts are electroplated with zinc and hydrogen is not sufficiently removed, delayed fracture may occur under long-term preload. The Dacromet process completely eliminates this risk.
Excellent resistance to media corrosion: Resistant to acidic salt spray, sulfur dioxide, organic solvents, and weak acids and alkalis, suitable for harsh environments such as valves in chemical plants and pipeline flanges on offshore platforms.
